The Beacon Institute, Mid-Atlantic LifeSpan's Educational Affiliate, is a charitable organization created for the purpose of ensuring "quality of life and quality of care for seniors."In order to achieve its goals, The Beacon presents more than 70 educational programs each year for seniors and senior care professionals serving over 3,000 participants. In addition, The Beacon presents more than 20 educational scholarships annually to senior care providers, and sponsors research in the field of senior services. The Beacon Institute hosts a yearly golf tournament in August and a gala event in November.
