The Beacon Institute now has a state of the art conference center, The Handelman Learning Center, available to outside groups for seminars, and meetings.

The Beacon Institute, Mid-Atlantic LifeSpan's Educational Affiliate, is a charitable organization created for the purpose of ensuring "quality of life and quality of care for seniors." In order to achieve its goals, The Beacon presents more than 70 educational programs each year for seniors and senior care professionals. In addition, The Beacon presents more than 20 educational scholarships annually to senior care providers, and sponsors research in the field of senior services. The Beacon Institute hosts WCBM's Focus on Seniors each week, providing health, mental health, financial and legal information for more than 15,000 listeners.

The participation of our Associate Members, companies offering services and products to senior care providers, is an invaluable part of LifeSpan's success. Given the commitment made by our Associate Members to our policy and educational efforts, LifeSpan strongly encourages its Provider Members to give priority when choosing companies offering needed products and services.

Aegis provides quality programs and services to help senior care organizations save time and money. Aegis is the Group Purchasing Subsidiary of Mid-Atlantic LifeSpan. Are you interested in joining LifeSpan? LifeSpan members consist of non-profit and proprietary Nursing facilities, Assisted Living facilities, Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Subsidized housing and Adult day care, and vendors who offer products and services to these facilities.
